Save the Frogs!

Founded in May 2008, SAVE THE FROGS! is America's first and only public charity dedicated exclusively to amphibian conservation. Our mission is to protect amphibian populations and to promote a society that respects and appreciates nature and wildlife. Our vision is a world in which not a single amphibian species is threatened with extinction. With your involvement and your financial support, we are100% positive we can SAVE THE FROGS!
SAVE THE FROGS! Current Projects:
-- Getting the harmful pesticide Atrazine federally banned and out of production.
-- Coordinating Save The Frogs Day, the world's largest day of amphibian education and conservation actions.
-- Stopping the annual importation into California of nearly three million non-native American Bullfrogs, which eat our native frogs and spread diseases.
-- Spreading our frog conservation programs across Ghana, Bangladesh and Belize, where we have launched our first international branches, SAVE THE FROGS! Ghana, SAVE THE FROGS! Bangladesh and SAVE THE FROGS! Belize.
-- Educating student, teachers, government officials and private citizens via live presentations: SAVE THE FROGS! Executive Director Dr. Kerry Kriger and SAVE THE FROGS! Advisory Committee ChairmanMichael Starkey speak to thousands of students every year about amphibian conservation. These lectures take place at universities, schools, businesses, community groups, national parks and at other nonprofits including the San Francisco Zoo, California Academy of Sciences the US Environmental Protection Agency and the US Fish & Wildlife Service.
Generally speaking, we will permeate schools and society at large with amphibian education, and drastically increase the number of people that not only care about but also take action to protect frogs.
